    Hey All!

I have been using Adsense for quite some time now and am just starting to get into the details of understand how it works.

I tried reading through the Google documentation but am not understanding Page CTR and Page eCPM. Maybe I'm stupid or something :p

So what I do understand is that you can make anywheres from a couple cents to a dollar for each click to your ad (depending on your niche and the ads available to your niche and what advertisers are bidding) -- but where does this "Effective cost-per-thousand impressions" come into play? I've seen it at higher amounts then my balance that I have on my Adsense account. Does that have anything to do with our pay or would we actually get that amount additionally for each 1000 views?

Also does this CTR affect us in any way? Like if I have a low CTR on my site, does that mean that I am going to make less money per 1000 impressions?(that's if 1000 impressions even pays--or is it just clicks???)

Sorry, maybe just to summarize my post, can people only make $$ from adsense for clicks on their site?

I was also wondering, what would be the average, low, high amount that one could make per 10000 visitors to their site with a random variety of niches.

I always wonder what advertisers get by paying for ads. Most of the People even dont care about the content in the website..so what the advantage of showing ads by paying high.
