Hello to all the members on this forum. I have been reading topics here for some time, but finally decided to join to ask for some help with a problem I have. Hope that I will be able to help others here with time. I'm having trouble understanding what does the CTR value mean. I would like to know if the following is correct: Let's say I have one html page that has 100 pageviews daily. On this page, there are 3 google ads. That would mean that there were 300 ad impressions (3 ads x 100 pageviews). Since CTR is defined as the number of clicks on 100 ad impressions, a CTR of let's say 2%, would mean that I should get 6 clicks. If a click is paid, let's say $0.25, I would get $3. Is this right, or am I interpreting something wrong? Thanks in advance!
You are close. However I believe "Since CTR is defined as the number of clicks on 100 ad impressions" is actually number of clicks per 100 page impressions. Of course the CTR of the individual ad would be caluclated as number of clicks per 100 ad impressions. Hope that helps
you have 3 ad blocks and the CTR is based on per ad block impression. CTR on one ad block may not be the same as the others. if you have multiple ad units, then best to setup channels so that you can track each individual ad block impression and clicks
Ok, so for the number of mentioned page impressions I would probably get a lower income than I predicted (?) I'm still not using adsense, but I'm planning to use it soon, so I'm doing some calculations to determine when will be a reasonable time to put adsense on my sites... Thanks for your help...
