NBC News exclusive on Blowback (from tonight?) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12oy7L3-v8k The government official, a retired Admiral says that tactically America is not more safe for being in Iraq, and strategically "we'll have to see". Not exactly a ringing endorsement from a Counter Intelligence director on the war, but his statements and the interviews with the Iraqis definitely supports Ron Paul's position. Interventionism causes blowback. If you invade and occupy a nation, they won't like you very much.
A lot of guys in this forum can't handle history and the facts. One thing that I've found through experience is when you start using historical facts in your debates here, everyone suddenly disappears from the thread, and comments are few and far in between. In fact, I have a history of ending debates here in the Politics/Religion section by simply listing historical facts to back up my position. Since the opposition doesn't read, and often has short term memories, they can't think beyond the current events that are happening right now. Studying history and comparing it to the modern day requires studying and reading. Due to human nature, the average man/woman would rather base his/her views of the propaganda that is spoon fed to them from the mass media, instead of researching the facts on their own.
