    Hi all,

I just came back from my hols and found that no ads were being displayed any more (they were working before I left), so I updated to the latest version. However, this doesn't work either and gives the following error (with no ads being displayed):

    8: Undefined variable: string
    /home/public_html/forum/ad_network_373.php
    10

I'm using on my SMF (simplemachines) forum - any ideas?

Who controls the hosting for the site? Have they upgraded or messed with some php configurations perhaps?

    TFMG:

Those two symptoms are most likely unrelated.

The error (warning) message is related to this:

The lack of ads is usually related to the ad_network_ads_373.txt file not being writeable.

Also, it usually takes a few minutes for that file to fill and for ads to start to display.

    Thanks for the replies:

TFMG - It's a VPS server, and I think I'm supposed to do any upgrades etc. when it's not essential, but there was a MYSQL upgrade due to occur so i'll just check on that.

edit: no versions of MYSQL of PHP have been changed.

Will.Spencer - The file is writeable (it was all working fine before I left for my hol, just not after).

Did you verify the name of your .txt file? If the file name is wrong, it will not be able to write to it either.

Well if you don't see a message about it not being writeable, then it should be fine. But unfortunately I don't know anything about SMF, so...
