(Uncoded) $65 One Page Web Design For NewsPaperGirl.com

I am looking to redesign NewsPaperGirl.com. Here are the specs I am looking for:

Header - The header needs to have the author's picture and her logo (see below). It would be nice if you can also remove the background in the author's picture. Here is an example [blog.penelopetrunk.com]of a blog which does this, but this example also is too plain. Please feel free to add colors and your imagination into the header.

Navigation - The navigation will be horizontal under the header, and should be an off setting color like what you see here [divinecaroline.com].

Sidebar - I am looking to have a sidebar on the right side of the page, that has similar designed subheadings like this site [internetpaul.com]. Also, there needs to be a sidebar footer like what you find on this site when you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page [frickaseed.com]. I also like the footer on this website.

Any stock images you use in your design I will pay for upon winning the contest.

@reuf: Again, we are looking for a little of both. Professional but fun.

@Umisaint: Thanks for being the first to post your design. With the header the logo seems too dettached from the whole look. Also, the picture of the author doesn't quite fit either. The navigation needs to go all the way across and not stop at the side bar. I do like the subheaders for the sidebar. This is a start. I look forward to your revisions.

Dude!! if you are so afraid of taking your ideas then dont participate...
the CH has already said he wont take any designs via PM....

 

@JMN: I understand your concern, but don't worry. I have been doing contests long enough to see when someone is copy someone else. I have never awarded a designer who ripped off someone else's design. So, it's not to someone's advantage to copy. Hope that helps.

@badmasketa & raja: I had the client look at your designs and this was her feedback:

I apologize, I forgot that she wanted to do two sidebars on the right (my mistake). A good example of a site she likes with two sidebars is marketingpilgrim. com

Also, raja, I am not sure what you are doing with the author's picture but the pixelation doesn't look right. Hope this feedback helps, and thank you both again for your efforts.
