Let's do some maths. Selling hosting for $1.49 which allow 10 proxies to be hosted in that plan. If you sell 10 such plans it means that almost 100 proxies are hosted in the box. How can you expect the CPU and RAM to cope with all those? The only thing you manage is to build a bad reputation about your business.

It's not shared hosting and we are not talking about static pages with a few visitors online at the same time. We are talking about proxies and we all know how they can stress a server.

A Pentium D 2.8 costs around $110, depending on the datacenter and reseller. In order to have some profit you should sell at least 80 plans of $1.49 or sell less plans if you combine the rest of the plans too. Do some maths in order to calculate the number of sites hosted.

Also i don't get it why people buy so cheap proxy hosting

Cheap is not always the best guys and you get what you pay for. Especially when it is about proxy hosting.

Maybe we should have a rule where people have "OVERSELLER" on their topic title as then users know who to stay clear from :D

We named it test server as we were testing the status2k monitoring system. Is there anything else that you want to point out to us?

People should know if the price is cheap, there will most likely be over selling. Which means that the server will be slow and you will get what you pay for. If you find a pretty good host for 10-20+ bucks for a moderat amount of bandwith and space you are better off, since there will be less odds of them overselling trying to turn a profit.
