I'd accidentally click my ads before once. And guess what, they still not ban me and they accept my explanation. I bet you accidentally click your ads for 100 times.

reminds me of a game I waste far too much time on these nights.

But to stay on topic, G never bans for one click. That'd be absurd with a publisher with three digit figures.

    alang,

I don't think G likes correspondances posted verbatim.

If proof exists that people don't get banned by accidental click, they they will self-evaluate clean up their acts. We can't have that. ;)

    later,

One thing I always worry about is: I checked my adsense stats once from work before I knew much about the system.

Now I fear someone there will find one of my sites and click. Since one of the sites is about our small business it seems likely to happen, though I've warned the 2 common users of that computer.

Maybe I should just take adsense off that site so I can relax!

    Googleclickaphobia is an insidious disease.

Play the lottery man, your odds are better.

In all seriousness, crude or not, accident or not, you deserve to be banned. Clicking your ads is forbidden, and well, G**gle does not general ban you for just 1 click. You will not get sympathy from anyone for having your account banned because of ignorance. Ignorance of a law does not make one exempt from it. As far as being flamed, I don't see any flames, just a bunch of people being real about how they feel. Alot of us spend money on Adwords, when you click your own ads, accident or otherwise, you are cheating people like us out of our money so excuse us if we are a bit harsh.

I see a later, "I'm banned" thread. I told my co-workers not to click on ads, etc, etc. Seems like others are always blamed for personal character flaws.

I have had to go to extraordinary measures to get one of my bichon's to not click on my ads.

The other one is too dumb to use a computer.

I have plenty of character flaws; It's so refreshing to hear comments from the pure.

I admittedly screwed up as a newby by checking my stats once at work. I generally take responsibility for my own actions,

Actually it may be a moot point...it's on a cable modem...don't they reassign ips every now and then?

I think a little preventive paranoia now and then is a good thing. When I tell people about my sites I don't even mention that I make money from the ads for fear they will try to "help" me.

    Oh darn!

I was just banned...and it was my coworkers and friends fault!

And those nimrods at the cable company didn't switch my IP!

well when u clicked the add u should send time email as soon as possible. you done a mistake u send them email after the death of your account. so your will not get your account banned.

once i clicked adds on my own page but i send them email immediately and the replay me and thanks me for informing them and they said that on your computer install google adsense previewer.

    How ironic is this?

The guy is using adsense on a website that has as a premise advertise adsense's competitors.
