Recently I sold a item online for $4,800 dollars and the buyer paid me by paypal, but the buyer asked me to ship the item to his secondary address that was different from his paypal address as he said he was working away from home. The transaction went through and I sent the goods to the address requested which was in Turkey, now I find the buyer has filed a unauthorized transaction, although I will have a delivery receipt paypal is asking me why I did not send the item to the verified paypal address and it is still under investigation, has anyone idea on how this will play out. This was not a ebay sale it was sold from a online website I run and own.

Knowing PayPal, it will play out in the buyer's favor. I've had scams like this, and provided PayPal with shipping proof, email proof, item proof, and payment proof, and they still ruled in the buyer's favor.

Not sure what kind of shipping service you are using. Normally shipping service provider do have receiver information with the signature when they pass the goods to the receiver, if the receiver is same name as the buyer, then it might help. However, if the buyer is using hacked paypal account to buy from you, then you may lose the money
