Unauthorised Paypal Payment :(

    Hello guys 3 days back someone sended me 100$ for hosting account i sent him account details as son as i received the payment he used lots of bandwidth say about 500GB in just 2 days he was giving movies in free and which results in this much usage i thinked no problem he paid me for this but today when i opened my paypal account i saw that paypal says them as unauthorised and was in temp held now i bought 2 more dedi servers as i thought he will be using more now iam in big loss can anyone help me?? :(

    Who said anything about unverified ???


    Clearly customer sent money from hacked account.

    @i_ball best you can do is to suspend his server ASAP, and maybe try to contact customer. But I doubt that he`ll reply.

    This is bad luck.
    But you should limit bandwidth on your hosting accounts because the 100$ will not have covered two new dedi servers?!

    Dispute this with paypal.

    They are S**mbags though

    it doesnt matter whether your getting a payment from a verified paypal account or not... because even a verified account can make unauthorized transaction claim.... sorry to hear that you lost the money.... there is nothing you can do other then watch them take the money back from you... i will suggest you not to use paypal again for business... use e-gold or moneybookers....

    you can just order from paypal and then charge back as unauthorized payment, you have the same case ;)

    ask for ID proof, and signed SLA faxed.... helps a lot.
    Usually it's much better to sign the customer order form as well and let them fax it to you with every payment.
