So I have a website about ipods. I decided to create a blogger blog that has a sidebar with links to my website. The posts I make on the blogger blog are reprinted articles that already exist with keywords that relate to my website. Is this a good way to boost PR and relevancy, or will I get penalized for doing this.
You won't get penalized, but if your goal is to boost PR and relevancy, there are much more efficient ways to accomplish this. This is actually a tactic that spammers use to do the same thing, only in mass. So by setting up 1 blogger account, you really don't stand a chance. The content most likely will not hold much value in the search engines because it is all duplicate content. You'll be lucky if it is indexed at all without any incoming links. I suggest you build higher quality links and work on your own content. Ipods is an extremely competitive niche and you're going to have to either work super hard or think outside the box if you want any significant search engine rankings.
you are not going to be penalized. But try to put some fresh content as well. which will help you to increase your SERP rank.
Gotta love duplicate content (not). Why reproduce articles that are on other sites (and probably commit God knows how many violations of copyright laws) when you can just write something yourself and be proud that it's the result of your own hard work?
Get unique content on the website. It will help your visitors a lot and moreover Google also recognizes it.
You can take the keywords but don't repeat same content or best to edit it adding more keywords and content and get published.
