Unaccurate PR

I am seeing different pr for my site in toolbar and in dmoz directory. Does it means that toolbar pr is unaccurate??

 

u mean inaccurate? then may be google has not yet finished the update on certain datacenters.

 

I assume you are talking about the DMOZ data in the Google Directory. A different scale is used there (not to mention the Directory is updated more often) so they don't always match.

This is completely normal.

 

IS that so??? But i never observed that for any other site.

More so, all sites in my particular category have correct PR in toolbar as well as in google dir, then why this glitch with me?

 

I just know it doesn't always match due to the scale used. I have no idea what your category is nor why it "usually matches"...Probably just coincidence before

That is what I am seeing. If it is off by more than one (the toolbar rounds off, if you show 5 in the directory, you may only see a 4 or a 6) then I would say that something is wrong. That is the case for me - directory shows a 7, I ended up with a 5, and I have an internal page that is at 6... check your internal pages and see if you don't find something similar.

I have been watching this for awhile. I have never seen the toolbar give a PR that was off by more than one.

There are others who are seeing odd stuff, but it seems to be correcting in the serps. Let's hope the PR does the same.
