unable to verify my site in webmaster central

    Hi,
    I am having trouble verifying my site on webmaster...the site has been designed using joomla and hence i cannot make use of the meta tag option...for the html option...i upload the blank html page using ftp...but am still unable to verify the site..i have more than two websites on the server...can anybody help me out

    google is having some technical problems right now.
    they show most of my sites as "not verified"...even sites that have been added month and years ago.

    remove the 404 code from your .htaccess file.... then verify ;)

    Yeah and to be more specific:

    Error document line in your .htaccess file and Web master tools will verify well.

    if you search for the template file in joomla you can use the meta tag option

    I have the same problem and every so often I have to hide my /htaccess file and re-verify - it's a pain.

    IEmailer.com can you be more specific as to what I can put in the htaccess to keep from having to do this every so often? I greatly appreciate it!

    you can edit your meta tags with changing your templates from joomla admin panel.

    J! Admin Panel> Site>Templates

    follow that menu and edit your templates:)
