unable to start Apache Server after editing http.conf

    Hi guys... i am newby in Apache and after installing and just editing http.conf... i am unable to start apache server... it says " The Requested Operation has failed"

    please Help!

    Did you backup your httpd.conf file before editting? What type of OS and do you have a control panel installed?

    I did something like this a while back after editing directives
    I found that spaces before commands was preventing things from working

    did you see your error_log file ?

    there will be a complete error message on your error_log file :)
