    Hi,

    It seems good has changed some coding on youtube. I am unable to download any video file from youtube.

    I didn't know that was an option. I thought the whole point of hosting videos in Flash files was to PREVENT downloading!

    Well you can always download the flash file by going to the page its on then clicking file save page as.

    What youe browser you use.
    I use Firefox and install plug-in for download video from Youtube, Google, Yahoo.

    I've been having problems with the video downloader extension in firefox. I use the one on my site here.

    Works like a charm 99.99% of the time.

    f.y.i. clicking on "save page as" does not work for me.

    Most people forget to try the most obvious and simplest solutions first. If using MSIE, and you are having trouble downloading any type of file (including *.flv files using RealPlayer), try adding the website you are on, without the www. (youtube.com), to your "Trusted Sites" area (under "Tools\Internet Options\Security"). Remember to uncheck "Require server verification [https:] for all sites in this zone". This allows downloads more often than you might think!

    I just install my Download manager software,.. and add some extension like *.flv on option tab, so when you visit a youtube and see video that you request for, the IDM will automatic download it for you

    You may try this youtube software, it can help you download youtube video to computer for free, you can also use it to convert Youtube video to MP4 video for iPod, iTunes, PSP, Zune, etc. My friends recommend it to me, it's legal and works pretty well.

    i use the plugin for firefox even through proxies and it works fine maybe something was wrong witht he proxy that you used.
