Unable to create backlinks for a particular blog, why?

Hi everyone, I am relatively new to this SEO. I created a blog and added backlinks regularly. It had a lot of ups as well as downs. But I kept adding backlinks, despite the blog going up and down in rankings. Now it is somewhere around the eighteenth rank. It has around 5k backlinks. Now I am not able to add any more backlinks. I go to blogs, make comments, but when I enter this particular blog's address, the comment does not appear. But when I add some other web address (like another one of my blog's address) in the url section of the comments, then the comment with that address appears and the backlink gets created. But when I enter this particular blog's address in the comments section, the comment doesn't appear even after refreshing. Don't know why. Anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance. And I am a noob, so need to tell me that

Had you changed anything to that particular URL? and if your doing that on one same blog than try it on some other blog and then see the result if the result remains same than i belive you must have done something wrong with that prticular URL somthing like coding or anything.

They might have marked your blog as a spam.

Hi guys, thanks for both ur replies.
@Seosaroj- I did use my friend to change the look of the blog a week back and she did work a lot with codes. So is there really a chance for this back link creation getting messed up? If so how to fix it?
DPointing- If they had marked my blog as spam, how do I fix it? Who do I have to contact and how?

might Google want your blog to deliver quality results that are most relevant and best way to search. So keeping the quality high and relevant blogs and you have the right foundation in creating backlinks.
