    What steps can the mods at this forum take, if a well respected memberof DP "vanishes" and does not respond to PMs?

    None. It's your responsibility to have alternate means of communication if you deal with someone (like getting an email address or phone number). If they don't respond, they don't respond. We don't get involved in private disputes and issues like that.
