Unable to access /stats on my server

    I've inherited a website with some statistic tracking package - and no admin information. All I know is that it is at www.example.com/stats (then it says it's restricted, and asks me for a username and password). Does anyone know what software or tracking package it could be? Also, how do I recover this information, without losing the previous data?

    Well, I want to use Google Analytics, but I want to be able to access the stats from the past before I switch over.
