    Hi,

I have used e-gold for several years. I use a BSNL connection (India) and suddenly one fine morning I got the problem of black listed IPs. Then I started using proxies to login.

I have nearly $300 in balance and when now I use a proxy it shows this error -

URL Error (110): An error has occured while trying to browse through the proxy.
Failed to connect to the specified host. Possible problems are that the server was not found, the connection timed out, or the connection refused by the host. Try connecting again and check if the address is correct

    Any ideas how to login.

I have heard of some technology called socks to change IPs, please suggest something if you know.

This happens to me sometimes but normally switching browsers solve this problem and it works fine for me. No need to worry about that, this is usual, though the methods they recommend to remove that IP black list doesn't work. You can try proxies but that is risky as well so I would suggest to wait for a day or so and then try again. And if you really want to send someone money I could help you with that (for free).

Correct. But always get a VPN with dedicated IP (static IP) not shared (dynamic IP). This is the best solution. Don't use VPN or countries restricted by e-gold. I think there are some issues with east asian countries like China.
BTW I am also using BSNL broadband connection & if you will try to reconnect after deleting your cookies & catches you may be able to log in to your e-gold after few tries if you don't have any VPN in hand. e-gold has restricted all open proxies for the access so now you will no longer be able use them & if you will try to access it using some open proxies which are not yet restricted by e-gold there are chances of getting your a/c blocked by e-gold. So better use a good dedicated VPN or if you can arrange you can get live IP with Reliance Internet connection which is working fine with e-gold at the moment.

That would be a huge mistake.
Free CGI proxies like ninjaproxy and myspaceproxy are detected by e-gold and this prolongs the duration, you won't be able to login for.
IF you have a dynamic IP address, then, just disconnect the ADSL cable, and replug it back in.

Yeah, use VPN, but make sure of using a dedicated IP with ssl encrypted connection. A proxy site wont be a better choice, vpn should be the best out there.

Dont use proxies, most of them have virus/trojan.Install kaspersky and u will know it.

U can ask BSNL to change ur IP.They will do it for free i guess.
