I just recieved a PayPal payment and was put on hold, reason: you might have received a payment that the PayPal account holder did not authorise. So how do I respond to that dispute? I try to resolve but there is no ways, cannot refund and the resolve center got questions that are not related to this sale as I am selling ebooks and not physical products, so how do I respond to this dispute?
Call them ASAP, sorry you got con'ed. Try researching similar cases on paypalsucks.com and you might just come up with something. Do I really need to call, I am not in the US, it's ok it's just $15.95, I just don't want anything to happen to my PayPal account I have contacted the payer to find out what happened, waiting to hear back from her.
Almost same happens with me all the time, I sell Adwords Vouchers, whenever he pays me, I get the money and after 10 minutes, the payment gets held. It gets deducted from my balance and it even doesn't reach to the buyer. Now it is stuck in between and paypal is asking stupid questions and want to insert the information about shipping, now thats not possible at all, in some payments a none of these option is avaialable, i have filled it, but PayPal hasn't responded, its been more than a week. I have lost all my money and vouchers like that
That's bad for you, I just lost some ebooks if it's really an un-authorize payment, no big deal. Just that I couldn't respond to that claim. If I could refund and close that case I would do that right away.
In that case just make sure that your account is verified. I'd recommend that you call them even if you don't mind the $15 just to make sure you're in good condition and they won't freeze your account or anything like that.
It would be good if you gave Paypal a call and explain your side of the story..It always helps to show you are innocent..if you are one! The buyer appears to be a cheater and I very much doubt if you would ever hear from her..again! Regards, RightMan
