So I was checking out my Google Sitemap area thing and was seeing how I ranked in keyword searches. Well I have some articles that I have written that rank high in google with certain keywords. Well so I check out all the keywords that I rank high in and I don't see my link anywhere in the first 5 pages! But when I go to site:dumbnerd.com I got almost 8 pages worth of pages indexed. Could I have been banned or does this happen from time to time?

Top search queries --------------- Average top position
    1. "e thug"---------------------------------8
    2. mauryshow-----------------------------10
    3. myspace angles-------------------------6
    4. ethug-----------------------------------4
    5. stuff we found on ebay------------------5
    6. ebaumsworld sucks----------------------9
    7. boring news-----------------------------6
    8. dumbnerd-------------------------------1
    9. the myspace angles---------------------6
    10. "the myspace angles"-------------------6
    11. forestfires-----------------------------18

NOTE: These are not my sites base keywords these are keywords from articles i've written.

    Having the same problem here...
If you're in GG with the "site:" command you're not banned...and if your site is new, i'm learning by myself that is normal.
Me have a good rank for a lot of keywords in articles some month ago, then completely disappear, then from the 8 of March back again and then from yesterday out again...
Very frustating to completely depend from Google...
I start to became tired of this absolute predominance, when you're trying to make your business working but cannot control this good but sometimes fool engine...

I can understand your frustration with Google but I also think SE ratings are over-rated.

By making your site unique and useful to the visitor you can generate the kind of customer loyalty that will render keyword searches relatively unimportant.

That's just my opinion, of course, offered with a grain of salt! LOL!

Sounds like the standard flux of search results.

I was going to say it was geotargetting because that issue affect me when looking at the sitemaps data but you are in the US.
