    Hi,

I think members should be allowed to tell users if the thread in BST is selling illegal stuff, but only if they have solid proof.

What do you think of this idea?

It would really help, because too many people here are selling illegal products, and although i wish to warn people, i am unable to because it will give me an infraction. Now, if you have solid proof, i don't believe that this should be the case.

People who reply saying 3 words like "hes selling copyrighted stuff" is thread hijacking, but people saying "check here he is selling copyrighted stuff which is purchasable from here" is fine, as long as it is true.

Yes, I agree, but who is the one to decide if the proof are solid and true then?

    "Is this product legal?"

    "I'm asking because I see...."

They give infractions and even delete these posts sometimes. It's fine how it is.

That is wrong, as long as the proof is valid, and everyone can see it.

Just post the question like Crazy rob did a few posts up...that way you can let anyone in the thread know about it without it being considered a hijack.

This is one horses mouth I'd trust (marymary too of course) - sounds like a good work around to an ongoing touchy issue.

In the majority of cases nothing could be "proved". Pretty much anything (copies of e-mails, screenshots, chat logs, pictures, etc, etc) can and would be faked.

It would inevitability come down to "your word against his" and would require that a mod/admin investigate. That's just not going to happen for reasons that have been discussed numerous times.

Crazy_Rob's suggestion would be the way to go. Nothing wrong with interested buyers asking questions.
