    I see that people talk about Google's algorithms, how Google does this, how Google does that...

    But the things you are saying are facts or just some opinions?

    All posts are based on opinions to some extent.

    I try to base mine on stuff I have learned by reading the facts elsewhere over the years.

    Best place for those facts is Google guidelines and Matt Cutts blog IMO :)
