I purchase a domain from someone here and its registrar is www.UKReg.com I told this person to use the ISPtag switch and put in go daddy but when they did that, the domain disappeared out of their account and not into go daddy! What should we do, the domain may be lost and it was a PR5!!!!!
If the TAG does say GODADDY and its not in your control panel, either contact godaddy about it or open an account at another registrar and pay Nominet to change the TAG for you.
Have you actually transferred the name to Godaddy? (Gone to Transfer under Domain Registration and done it that way) Or just changed the TAG? I'm not sure you can transfer into Godaddy, the transfer page does not have an option for UK names at all.
When you change the IPS tag then it does get removed from UKreg, you still need to add it to your new registrar, however I believe godaddy to not allow transfer of .co.uk's into their control panel so you'd need to use another registrar and now possibly contact Nominet regarding the IPS tag change. Note .co.uk need to have their owner contact details changed so that you are the legal owner, if that isnt done first then the previous owner would need to contact Nominet regarding the tag update.
