VPS Plans:

We use the xen credit scheduling system for CPU allocations. Larger VPS have a larger amount of credits, and therefore have a higher priority over CPU time. A 256MB VPS for example gets twice as much priority over CPU as a 128MB VPS. All VPS can burst upto the full power of the host machine.

Each VPS comes with 1 IP Address by default, additional IPs are available for £0.50/Month per IP, subject to RIPE justification.

Network:

We operate on an all Cisco powered, 68GBps multi-homed BGP4 network, with transit from Tiscali, TeliaSonera, Teleglobe, LonAP and LINX, and over 200 peering sessions on UK and european exchanges.

The core of the network is powered by the latest Cisco VSS-1440 virtual switching system, based around 2x Cisco Catalyst 6500 series routers in a high availability failover configuration. All edge switching is handled by Cisco Catalyst 3750 series switches.

Q. How long have you been in business?
A. 4 Years, our parent company has been trading since 2006.

Q. Are you a reseller?
A. Absolutly not! We own all of our hardware, have our own rackspace and manage all infrastructure in-house.

Q. Can I run my own kernel?
A. Unfortunatley your VPS shares the kernel with the host machine. You can however compile and load kernel modules.

Q. What version of Xen / Kernel do you use?
A. When a new hardware node is deployed, we use the latest stable Xen release, which is currently 3.42, and a stable CentOS/RHEL5 2.6.18 based kernel.

Q. Do you allow adult content?
A. If it's legal within the United Kingdom, yes.

Q. Do you allow proxy hosting?
A. If it's for legal purposes yes, however we will not allocate a large number of IPs for VPN use.

Q. Do you allow IRC, Bittorrents, Warez Linking, Seedboxes?
A. No. All of the above are strictly against our acceptable use policy.

Q. What hardware do you use?
A. We use enterprise-class rackmount hardware from Supermicro. All VPS nodes are based around Quad Core Intel CPUs with 8GB-12GB RAM and Hardware RAID-10. Our newest systems are based around Intel Nehalem Xeon and Core i7 CPUs.

Q. What is the connection speed?
A. Each VPS hardware node has a dedicated, non-contended 100Mbit (Full Duplex) connection onto our Edge Switches, which in turn have multiple gigabit uplinks to the network core. VPS can burst upto the full speed of the host machines 100Mbit connection. Since this is not shared, we are quite happy to provide upto 10,000GB of bandwidth on individual VPS, if you require it.

Q. How many VPS are on each hardware node?
A. Typically between 15 and 20, and we have a maximum density policy in place of 30 VPS per hardware node.

Q. What support is provided for my VPS?
A. We provide a strictly unmanaged service, which means we will provide support for hardware issues and network issues only. IF you are really stuck then we may offer some advice depending on how busy we are. Support is available at additional cost, and we can provide fully managed VPS via our parent company. Email for a quote.

Q. Can I resell your VPS?
A. Absolutly. We offer highly competative discounts (10% - 25%) for customers with at least 1GB of RAM worth of VPS with us at standard pricing. We will also be offering actual VPS reseller accounts in a few months time.
