UK Vs US Hosting

    Our site is currently hosted out of the US which obviously gives us a US IP address and great ranking within google.com.

    We are a UK site and therefore want to improve our google.co.uk rankings and are considering switching to a UK host to help with this.

    If we were to switch to UK based IP addresses would this have a detrimental effect on our google.com search rankings?

    I personally prefer to use UK servers as I know I could probably trust them more than I could trust a server thousands of miles away.
