Ive got a site aimed at the US and would like to expand to a UK version of the site, the services both sites will offer will be identical it will be the prices that differ. Now if the site is hosted on a .co.uk or .com/uk with the same content, would that impact on SERPS? Bearing in mind that I am aiming to rank high in Google's UK site for my UK site and Google.com for the US site. Will I need to provide different content for both sites (considering there are many snippets of text on some pages and others with lengthy articles) Thanks, Mutasim
Or, you could considering using a sub-domain, then you can actually adding that sub-domain seperately in Google Webmasters Central (Yes, it works try it). Then, geo-target it to the UK and strictly build backlinks only to the sub-domain via that geo-graphical area. Now, you could also make a seperate site, use different content where possible and follow the same instructions above.
When using a sub domain, would it be permissible to use duplicate content? And if I used a .co.uk to redirect to uk.domain.com would backlinks to .co.uk be useful? Cheers, Mutasim
