UK SEO/IM on an upward curve says hello!

Hey everybody, I've hit DP a few times from searches and links on blogs, but I was reading Shoemoney the other day and realised that I should be far more active in this area than I am.

I've recently left the web company I was at (deputy MD at the time) as the pressures of small business were too much for me (chasing payments, trying to get leads and sales, being tech support to everyone from clients to the MD, actually doing the work we're being paid to do by the clients, you get the picture!)

I had intended to get a job in a big B2C company as e-marketing manager or similar, but an opportunity came up to do some self-employed consultancy on a short-term contract (3-6 months) which is pretty well paid, so I took it - nothing to do with SEO or IM!

Whatever I do next, whether it's my own IM sites, SEO consultancy or looking for that job, I guess I'll be hanging round here quite a lot in future. I've spent years learning SEO (8 years in the web business), but IM as income creation in itself is pretty new to me and PPC, whilst I've done bits and bobs in the past, is also something that I will need to be much hotter on.

So, thanks to everyone on here for contributing the information I've already learnt from and here's to all the things I'll learn in the future (and hopefully some I'll contribute myself!)
