UK Riots (UK breaks into riots 2011)

Well it's finally happened. After 2 nights of riots in London the riots spread out into several burrows in London last night. This then spread to:

    Birmingham
    Liverpool
    Nottingham
    Bristol

I watched this building burn to the ground last night live on BBC News

This is as far as i can see only going to get worse tonight. They are fearless and have nothing to loose and have learn't there are more of them then there are police.

David Cameron has said everyone will feel the full force of the law no matter what their age. Also the news keeps saying they are going to keep giving pictures of those who committed crimes. Do they seriously think this is going to stop people? Think about it if you were a part of the riots already fearless without any care in the world. You hear that you will feel the full force of the law when your caught and then you see your picture on the news... what are you going to do? Give yourself in and officially have no future? No your going to fight to the end, damage is done now and you know you have no hope if your caught. This can only get worse now...

Who are these people, the rioters? Most of rioters are, I believe, just looters, opportunists.

The only thing that can stop this madness is the use of force..

They are mostly economic immigrants from outside the E.U. The riots of London 2011 are identical to the events of 2005 France . Both are the simple result of uncontrolled mass immigration . If the would have a been a proper limit on immigration in the past 30 - 40 years such events would have never happened . You don't see this type of events in Switzerland or Japan .

What the fuck are these people doing? They claim to riot because of government actions yet they're looting and destroying civilian homes and businesses!

This is what happens when business owners have nothing to protect their property. Look at the LA riots - those Korean business owners were heroes!

The police are being too kind. If someone throws a Molotov their way, endangering police and others' lives, I say they're fully justified to use live rounds. You don't pose serious threat to someone's life and expect to be treated well.

Why are the majority of these people non-white?

These are majority black youth who have no hope in a white mans world.

@Apocalypse - this has nothing to do with immigration.

I beg to differ. The cities where this is happening have the highest immigrant population in England: London, Birmingham and soon Leeds? What do you mean "no hope in a white man's word"? I've just seen brown and black on people on TV who own businesses weeping at their loss. This is about laziness, scummy attitudes and no morals; nothing to do with white oppression.

If this spreads to my city I know whose side I'll be standing on.

No, I don't mean white oppression. But these youths have no hope, they see this as a white mans world, they are most probably school drop outs, unable to find a job, they say police abuse their powers on them, they are angry and are releasing their anger. And what started with a normal protest turned into vandalizing, burglary and looting, then it spread to different areas and cities. They have nothing to lose since they have no hope for a future.

They are not targeting any specific people, they are breaking into any shops with valuable goods.

Bad parenting is to blame for this, not government cuts as many are saying.

I agree with you that parenting is a large cause of this, however gun control is to blame for the extent that this ridiculousness has become out of hand.

Yeah I've been wondering why on earth the police cannot use more force, I mean if you are not going to shoot them in their legs at least use water canons or tear gas.

This is ONLY the tip of the iceberg. As the world's economy implodes, you will see this in all major cities in all economies that are imploding. And it will eventually be more than just looting to steal things, it will be more like almost everyone trying to stay alive.

Think about London if all public transportation of goods and services stopped for one week. Food would be gone in less than a week and people would be looting for food. Then think about what would happen if the transportation broke down for months. You would have a situation like Somalia with millions dying. As the economies implode, that is what you can expect.

London, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Birmingham, and hundreds of other major cites will see total breakdown just as happened for a few weeks in New Orleans after Katrina. Only it will be much much worse as there will be no one that can help, not even the national governments.

There was a small protest in Tottenham on Saturday that sparked all of this.

@merlnin - no matter how bad the economy is, this behaviour is not justified.

On the bright side, sales of American made baseball bats  are skyrocketing in the UK. Check out Amazon UK's "movers and shakers" for Sports and Leisure.

Baseball bats occupy slots 2-7, after extendable batons.

So why can't they give a 24 hour notice saying they're gonna shoot from tomorrow on? How many will be left tomorrow?

When a looter illegally invades the private property of a business owner, I would hope he places a neat little hole in his head. Also, when an individual poses a direct threat on an officers life - or anyone for that matter - he is legally justified to defend with any means necessary in order to stop the assault. Why the police are only allowed plastic shields and batons, I don't know.

I don't understand why you laugh. What would you rather do? Let a looter take your stuff or possibly harm you?

Only the suicidal would be left. Sounds good to me. Shame it would come so late, though.

That's worrying about Manchester, it's getting closer to my location. No fear though, I'm ready ;)

Dear Americans, do not judge our cowardice. We suffer from collective stupidity which infringes on the sane minority.

I REALLY don't understand how this is spontaneously spreading from city to city. What is starting it outside of London???

its simple greed is what is starting it, welfare scum, low lives and morons. Its sad to say but people in the UK are greedy and think the world owes them a favour.
