Hi Everyone, Hope you are well, Ive been building a motoring forum focused at the UK audience using a popular platform. It is standard in design, nothing changed just been busy adding categories and forums (300+) this may go against me as in looking empty but really wanted to get this done from day one rather than adding as time goes on, just my choice. If you get a moment to view - motoringforums (dot) co (dot) uk Best regards Jay
Aren't you going to add a logo? I like the domain name. I think you'll regret adding so many sub-forums from the onset. It makes the site look like a ghost town and will prevent users from registering.
Hi, Thank you for visiting the site, I’m getting the logo done soon, Regarding the many forums yes you are correct it does look rather empty! It may be putting people off registering, I knew it would be a bit of a lottery going down that path. Really appreciate the advice - Thank you! Best regards Jay
Hi, I’ve got the logo done and rearranged the forums into more sections so at first sight it does not look as big as it is. Best Regards Jay
I'd tweak the design more, xenforo's default skin isn't too appealing. You also need to get some content added. Look for forum post swaps, create some 'fake' members, promote more to get genuine members interested etc.
Hi, Thanks for the review and advice, will be working on getting more content and if it does start to go in the right direction will get a custom skin. Best regards Jay
