Are there any tax obligations if you use AdSense as a UK resident?

Do you have to declare AdSense earnings, or can you just cash the cheque and get on with life?

Also, when you get sent your cheque, do you simply get a normal cheque to you for the amount owed addressed to you?

    Is it really that simple?

Sorry for all the questions, but I just want to make sure that I am doing everything legit.

If its income, you need to pay tax on it. For more information on how you shouldbe doing that in the UK, you should contact your accountant.

It is an income that you should declare, and yes it is taxable. You get a normal cheque provided you have registered to receive it in sterling.

Edit : beaten to it by yfs1 (again)
