   I know this has been asked hundreds of times before but I need a php/sql host in the UK for a medium sized site.
   
   The problem is that quite a few hosts don't allow connections to remote sites and I need this (allowing connections on a site by site basis is not an option).
   
   Any ideas?

   You can connect remote mysql with 3306 port.
