UK host for dedicated servers

    Any suggestions on the best UK good solid hostings companies for dedicated servers? I'm getting toally overwhelmed by the possiblities.

    Hi mate we run several businesses and we use www.cheapvps.co.uk and also www.servint.net.

    I have used other companies and the service was HORRIBLE to say the least.We have had NO downtime with these two.

    One piece of advice

    One of our sites www.urbanvenom.com was hosted on servint and was ranking high in Google.com for searches but on UK only searches it was no where to be found.

    When we moved it to a UK host things improved alot.

    We did not have the problem with cocovida.co.uk on servint as it had a .co.uk domain and we were able to view it in google for all areas

    Please forgive me for the links this is not a promotion (as i dont need it) but for educational reasons.

    The level of support is amazing which is the most important thing for a host in my opinion.

    check out www.2dayhost.co.uk run by a friend of mine, they just took 28 new servers in the UK, have a total of over 150 world wide. a very reliable group of server admins 24/7 support. well worth giving them a call just to check out what deal they can give you :)

    Had some speed problems with them and several scripts PHP don't run there. Some custom programmed ones and also for example it's nightmare to get modx cms running there.

    True. Support is good but they just don't know what's the problem why some scripts that work in my other servers don't work with them. So I had to move from them.

    Had also some speed problems with them.
