    That's right,

You don't have to wait 30 days for the banks to clear your dollar cheque's from Clickbank any longer...

Read How to Clear Them In 5 Days by way of a shameless plug to my blog! :)

Or you could just use Lloyds TSB :)

Takes 3-5 days to clear and costs about £8.

Yes, go into my local branch of Lloyds all the time to cash my cheques.

Not their most satisfied customer, but you can't fault them when it comes to cashing Clickbank cheques quickly and cheaply.

I use HSBC for mine. Just a standard current account. Takes about 3 days to clear and costs £5 per cheque. But if the cheque is above (I think) $200 then they charge £10 per cheque.

When you say 'clear' do you mean the funds are registering as actual available funds that you can withdraw, or just showing up in your account but not actually actually cleared?

    Hi

Yes, they are in my account to do with as I choose.

I don't know about other banks but HSBC is fine with foreign cheques. I've been putting them in since 2004 and it always only takes 2-3 days.

    Hi Pete

I think there is a big difference between banks and building societies (think that's how it's spelt!) when it comes to foreign currency.

It usually only takes between 5 and 8 days for dollar cheques to clear into Citibank, and the same with Lloyds in my experience.

I called lloyds about this £8 rate, and that's not what they told me.. after waiting 10 mins on hold, being transferred 3 times, they said their rate is 2.5% of the check, min of £15, max of £100... I asked if the £8 was a legacy rate for old customers, but they were useless and couldn't tell me anything else..

i called around a few banks, and HSBC was 1% up to a max of £50, natwest is 2%, and barclays is 0.25% with min of £9 and max of £60.. trying to get this information from these banks call centers was like pulling teeth..

if you do enough business with clickbank, it's worth getting them to do a bank transfer for you instead of sending you checks.. CB charges $35 for this i think..
