Uk Charity hopes to use DP to find UK designers to work with

Hi all

We're hoping to use DP to find some decent UK-based designers for projects.

We're currently looking for for a very quick turnaround on a design which should prob take the average designer about 30mins. We need a poster for a one-off charity event, it should be in both A4 and A5 sizes and we need it by tomorrow morning!

The charity in question is Enable Scotland and there may be more design work in the future.

We've got a budget of £75 and you'll need to be a UK-based designer for invoicing purposes.

We'll supply all the written info and our logos that need to go on the poster, we're after a clean, bright, modern poster with an ethnic twist; the event is a celebration of diversity with food, music and dancing.

I've got a really bad Word mock-up I can send as well as the logos. Please leave a post or even better send a private message/email as we need to pick our designer by close of business today. Please provide a link to your portfolio or previous examples of your work.

Hi all, thanks for the welcomes, we got a designer in the morning (UK time) as we needed to move fast!

I've got another small project but with no budget so it would be a piece of free work for charity, here's the details if anyone can help...


We're in the middle of having our website developed, this is being done for free by a very nice and talented web designer. We've got a logo on the header but it's very basic and could do with being more stylised. We can send the current logo to anyone interested in helping out.

The light blue is known as 'mediterranean blue' and the dark blue is known as 'aloha blue' on Adobe Illustrator. The font is Myriad roman. We'd like to keep those colours but the designer can feel free to play about with the font, whatever they think fits in best with the website fonts.

We'd either like it kept as it is with a little more stylisation on the typography or the typography with a logo representing the 3 organisations in the strategic partnership. All innovative thoughts are welcome.

The file should be 589x40 and it would be great if it was available in Jpeg and Photoshop formats if possible. We might need this for business cards in the new year as well, so something that is easily re-sizable would be great.

I know this is a lot to ask at a busy time of year but it would be a great present for a charity partnership with no marketing budget.

Bit of an update from me (thanks for the warm welcome guys)...

Unfortunately we don't have a marketing budget so the logo work mentioned a few posts up would have to be in-kind, we'll offer the chosen designer a mention on our news page and a link to their online portfolio/site in our links section. Our site will be seen by lots of other charities, professsionals and the public across Scotland so it may even drum up some business for the chosen designer.
