UK and US websites - same content?

    Hi Everyone,

I'm in the process of launching a business, and I'd like to advertise to UK and US customers separately. I have the .co.uk and .com variants of the domain I'd like to use - and I was wondering, how do websites like apple and others with geotargeting get rankings in the US search engines for US section and UK search engines for the UK section? Is it as simple as using something like a geo-ip to point people to the right site, or is there something more complex?

    Thanks!

Hmmm... Very interesting question. If it were up to me, I would too use systems like Geo-IP to take visitors to their country website. Thankfully, that's not so hard to do! :)

But I understood that the majority of the Google spiders were in the US.. so the redirection wouldn't affect them?
