UK account funded by $USD?

If I sign up for a UK Adwords account, can I fund it with $USD?, can I pay for clicks in $USD?, can I accept vouchers which are in $USD?, can I use those links which credit you in $50 USD when you sign up?

    Yes, you can.

When you sign up, just choose USD as a currency, that you want to pay your bills.

It would be cheaper that way in some cases, because the minimum cpc for US is $0.01 but for UK is £0.01. So I would be able to run campaigns using cpc of $0.01 then?

I think is doesn't make difference in costs, depending in which currency you are paying.

But you can't currency once your account has started (as far as I know). So watch the exchange rates because they could end up hurting you (unless you're in the US of course...but then why would you want a UK account?)

It obviously does make a difference which currency your using because as we all know, the US's economy is in a slum.

I don't know how easy it would be to pay in $USD with my debit card which has a balance of £GBP.

If your card is VISA, you can try choosing the option of "Credit Card" and specify your card as VISA Credit card.

It worked for me with my Visa Electron.

I'm from the UK, it's just I don't know much about the currency conversion system with my current debit card setup.

I don't think I ever had the option when I joined - this was 4 years ago though. I wish I could run my account in USD becasue it would be much easier to run my balance sheet and assess exact profits. Keep on having to take currency fluctuations into account. nightmare for my tax and VAT.

If I pay using £GBP, does that mean that Adwords vouchers in $USD won't work?

Vouchers are only for new opened accounts, unless Google issues one for you as a gift.

Just find a UK voucher, register and that's it.

There aren't many UK vouchers. Will the US ones work?

Once you are in you cannot change your currency. Normally if you have a voucher and use a voucher code of say $50.00 then Big G will convert to GBP and give you the equivalent value at the exchange rate at that moment.

However this is purely discretional and not a guarantee that you will get it. But if you don't ask you will never know?

So quote a voucher ref no. if you have one and ask them!
