In meanwhile, Sarkawi got his third death penalty A jordan court has sentenced him to death for the third time
If little willy stopped and thought a little bit instead of being blind by his hatred, he would have known there is no absolute "free speech" in the world. There are many limitation to free speech but how it is formulated depends on the country. In USA while free speech is protected by first amendment, the government instead limits the free speech by laws against defamation or incitement to riot. obscenity is not protected by first amendment either according to US supreme court ruling. In Germany the law is more restrictive and does not tolerate hatred against ethnic groups, threat against public peace or denial of holocaust. In Canada, advocating hatred against identifiable group is against the law and punishable by 2-14 years prison. In England speech about racial hatred is illegal. Little willy; I understand that you as a bigot, have a psychological need to post about your hatred for different cultures and races but please limit yourself to your usual hatred BS and don't make up stories about unlimited free speech.
Little willy; I didn't know that being informed about different laws regarding free speech is ignorant and only your usual hate BS is considered informed.
Perhaps if you were not so unimaginably stupid, you would realize that we all already know about the limitations on free speech in the modern world. Honestly gworld, it seems that you are just out of your intellectual league here. Perhaps you would do better posting on forums populated only by ignorant people. Then you could fit in and not be such an annoyance to people.
Gtech, mia, defunct, henny, little willy... I admit that DP is not populated only by ignorant people but since there is at least five of you, I can start with educating your bunch.
I love the despair site. I should send gworld a couple of those posters shouldn't I. Privatize more of our governmental agencies and then put a poster on every wall. LOL
Little Julian... I cannot speak for other countries you have listed above, but as for the US, I would mind your business... You do not know what you are talking about. Freedom of Speech in the US is protected until a court defines it as otherwise. PERIOD!!!
There are a lot of court decisions and laws in this area, you are only too busy thanking Bush for your house to notice.
Thanx for posting them all.... February 24, 1988 Supreme court decision(Hustler v. Falwell, 485 U.S. 46) comes to mind. Hmmm, seems the supreme court found that the 1st Amendment does protect obscene speech, or speech in bad taste, so long as any reasonable person could clearly see that it would be impossible to believe that speech to be true. More specifically it found that "public figures cannot recover damages for "intentional infliction of emotional distress" based on parodies." In short, a CARTOON... Food for thought! Miller v. California (1973) obscenity exception to the First Amendment is another one that comes to mind... I could go on, but what's the point. I had you owned at "Thanx"!
