No, I see where it begins. So does everyone else here now [ So young to be filled with such hatred. Looks like this just reaffirms my original conclusion.
Why would Palestinians want peace now that 76% of their hand has been stolen from them? Until I had actually researched the topic (Israel/Palestine conflict) like most I just went by ear and the news.. which lead me to believe that Israel was a big victom and that Palestinians were "haters of freedom" and Jew haters. It happens to be the other way around (for the most part). The Jews immigrated over in huge waves and then with the force of Britain they took palestinians land (who had lived there for more than 1,000+ years) and said we get 50% of it. Then they went to war and when it was said and done they'd taken another 26% of the land. Can anyone tell me why a people and a country that had 76% of its land stolen from it want peace?
Basically - what I have been hearing is Israel and the US should just take over all the land, win it in a war. Then the palastinians will have nothing to complain about. Makes sense right?? geesh........... how some are so blind...........
a came up with the plan based on hearing that Israel didn't take the land over by force so it isn't legit. So Israel needs to step up to the plate and take the land by means of war to make it official according to those with little to no common sense.
This is impossible to explain. Reason? This assumes this was their land in the first place, which it clearly was not. Aside from that, I am not sure how you arrive at this "76%" figure, especially when Sharon (prior to his stroke) gave they terrorist state the West Bank. Yet another piece of land that did not belong to them. If anything there has been a percentage INCREASE in the amount of land the Palys have...
People who believe,,, no matter who they are, get upset when their 'icon' is trashed with complete disregard. Even though free speech sentimentalists suggest anything can be said, most do not push the boundaries to the extent of causing such passionate reactions. The cartoons may have been designed with the knowledge that they would cause havoc and dissent, but in reality probably deserve less attention by those who sincerely gain comfort or understanding from their own beliefs. I think common sense should prevail and NO religious icons from any sphere or race should be ridiculed especially by the media. The outcry would be no less dramatic (albeit probably taking different forms of demonstration) if the icon concerned was the Christ or Buddha or whomever. There's no reason for this unfortunate reaction and unrest except to grow the ego and possibly the wallet of some artist who wanted and has now achieved publicity at the expense of others.
I look at it this way. What's worse. Cutting off someone's head for the hell of it, or drawing a funny picture of a false prophet?
Very harsh... Hopefully statements like that won't create even more fury that incites extremist reactions that do horrible things to the innocent who know nothing about specific cartoons and care less about doing anything other than living out their lives.
These cartoons were actually printed in October. After they were printed a campaign was created by extremist groups where they sent out the newspaper cartoons - plus other cartoons which weren't included in the paper which were much worse. Where did these people burning the danish flags all over the middle east get these danish flags? Its not like you can just go to the corner shop and by a danish flag (which interestingly enough has the Christian cross on it) This whole thing has been engineered.
this is what would happen>>> cartoons of mohammad do = beheadings, riots, burning buildings, attacks cartoons of jesus would = yelling, media outcry, boycotts, debate they are just uneducated, all they know is what this book tells them. Their lives revolve around a book, they dont know anything else.
What's harsh there? I'm not certain I understand the logic here... Don't piss of a terrorist if you do not want them to come after you? So how do you make one happy? I can no more incite a extremist whacko then I can make it rain by dancing. (yeah, just a hint of Indian blood), no I don't prefer native American. Indian is just fine.
haha those cartoons were pretty funny I thought. If they want to start killing people because someone disgarees with the radicals in their religion then that is PRETTY DAMN SAD. Sounds like you should be pissed at them for not having a sense of humor and just asking for a reason to do what they do best, promote violence.
The fact that the worse thing that happened is they made a goddamn cartoon and the muslims started rioting over this CARTOON. That is pathetic
