I own the site www.besteulogyspeeches.com Each week I submit probably 10+ articles that point to it. I put these on ezine articles. I also use the program called SENUKE to create blogs that point to my site. I also post content to these sites each week. I also bookmark, but have just started this. I really cannot seem to significant move up in the SE's. I've just stayed in the same places for a long time. I have dominated less-competitive niches. But this one is tougher. I watn to rank for Funeral Speech in the top 10 Currenly I am 96. I've not specifically targeted this term.. with my articles.. instead I've done many terms. How can I dominate with many synonymous terms? What about LINK Swapping with other sites? Is it worthwhile?
First off remove that button that will not let you go back. This is horrible for SEO. Also remove the word eulogy from the title. it appears 3 + times. It should only be used once. You are wasting advertising space here
submitting articles to ezine works great but does need more work aside from just submitting them. since the article page will have zero pagerank and no authority to begin with, it works better if you do some bookmarking for the article page itself and submit some blog comments. deeplink directory submission is also helpful. lot of people submit to ezines and people who do the extra drill rip the most benefit. also, to get ranked on competitive terms, just article submission and social bookmarking is not enough. you need an extensive link building campaign with mixed link building methods
I don't understand how you can expect to rank for that term. It is the last phrase in your page title, and aside from that-- it is not mention on your page ONCE! If you want to rank for the term, you have to optimize your content for it. IF you don't mention Funeral Speech multiple times in your page content, why do you expect to rank for it? Having keyword-targeted content (which you don't yet have) is one thing, but it won't help you rank unless you're receiving traffic for the appropriate terms. Do you have any websites that are related to funerals (on the weak side, funeral home directories, on the strong side, funeral speech websites) that are linking to you with the anchor text "funeral speech"? Fix your page content, include "funeral speech" in your content multiple times and with appropriate density. Then get links in with that phrase from relevant websites. Boom, you're number one. That is not even remotely a competitive phrase.
When you try to exit from the website a pop up keeps you from leaving the site, asking you to speak with a representative instead. For a second I was afraid I got hit with a virus. This may scare off visitors from returning and you may get a bad reputation. I would suggest removing it if you want to increase traffic/SEO.

Replace the image of text with actual text that search engines can read. You won't be able to replace the signature, but everything else is doable.
