Hi guys. I would like to create a UGC site where users can submits posts for review which will be posted on the site if accepted. Furthermore, I would like to create a points system where users gain points for registering, having a post accepted, number of views of the post, commenting other posts, etc. as well as having the ability to subtract points when they submit a spammy post or send a spammy content, etc. What CMS would you recommend me for this? I'm not a programmer so I would like to use as much as possible current technology that doesn't require much tweaking... Thank you very much!

Thanks PixelCrayons. I'd like to make a magazine-like site, so a forum wouldn't work. Would you recommend Wordpress over Drupal in a case like this one?. Can you customize how people get points (or get points subtracted) with my MyCRED? I mean, can you sort of create "rules" by which users obtain points, or do you choose from default options?. Anyone else uses a similar points system you'd like to recommend?

Wordpress is bloated, non-stadard, 100% crap. Most sites using it have accessibility, usability and security issue. It does not matter what plugin is used it is not possible to build anything near secure with it, it is bloated, and only very highly skilled developers can get WP sites up in quality to be considered at least mediocre. If you do not have programming skills then you should either invest the times to learn enough that you can evaluate the junk floating around and sucking in the unaware; or hire a professional developer who will include training that will make it possible for you to administer and maintain the site yourself.

The kind of site you describe are targets for hackers because they are rich in personal information and frequently can be compromised and used for illegal activities. the best approch to protecting sites is to start with custom code. The hackers have the source of virtually every third party piece of junk available and their are thousands of exploit they can run against sites because a novice developer left an attack vector available. Any site that accepts posts from users is by its nature open to attack and WP and other such CMS software only apply perimeter security. That only stops stops the casual hackers.

I would suggest to create the customized website using PHP and mysql. Why not try to post a request in buying section and ask programmer how much it will cost?
