Header can be made better by putting a Linux Penguin in there
anyways try increasing the width of the design looks all squished up at one place

 

The forum skin is a bit plain.. try adding some sort of icon to your header area (try iconbase.com). Also, the black border is a bit harsh.. I would remove it or add a black background to your whole layout to balance it out.

 

I would like to see a graphic header

Im not sure if I like how you categorized the subcategories. Maybe its just cause im used to them be vertical not horizontal

here are my suggests

* i see session id on your urls. i think you must remove it. it makes difficult search engines to crawl your site
* your colours are good but theme is a bit plain. if you add a logo or a header with pictures, it may be better

 

the forums looks very nice, however, try to expand it a little bit in both left and right

 

i like the idea...not so sure about the design. i think you could make the content area wider, and adding something about how your site is related to Ubuntu.

The design looks a bit smashed.. I would extend content area.

nice skin too, just work on advertising and content
