Ubuntu vs Windows

The smart phone market is very small comapred to all of the other types of computers (including laptops, desktops).

It still sounds like you're on the apple payroll. We're not really talking about Macs, this thread is about windows and ubuntu. I don't see why you are pushing apple so much.

And HP guarantees that my laptop works fine too.

I rather just use windows.. Ubuntu is okay but its more complicated i feel.

 

Someone brought up the price of Macs. I don't own one. I'm just aware from what I read.

Bring your computer to the HP store down the street and tell them you can't get your Nvidia drivers to work on the card you bought at BestBuy and see how far that gets you. If you can find a HP store.

Apple wouldn't help you much in that regard either. I doubt they support problems caused by cards you buy at best-buy.

Then you don't know what a conformist is. A conformist is not one who buys a product because they think it's the best. They buy a product to fit in with others. In my son's case, he couldn't care less what computer the others use. He likes its functionality, especially for video editing.

 

yes windows xp is better for ever.most of huge and important softeare are made for xp i mean Microsoft operating systems even games are too.its true that Ubuntu is safe when you brows internet more then xp.But i think for professional work xp is better then others.

I think windows has been and will continue for quite sometime to be the de facto default OS used by businesses, and people who just aren't 'into' computers. Its mainstream, your neighbor or your friends kid can help you with it. Most of the software available for a CPU is designed to work with windows. This mainstream appeal will continue draw users who want something 'safe', even if its not the best, fastest, or easiest to use.

 

Both are nice but windows is better because most of software are bashed on windows so i think windows is better then other

 

Absolutely false. Out of all the programs you use, the most significant ones probably add up to less than five, all of which you can find on any other OS, or an equivalent.

 

Ubuntu vs windows..... It's really cool........... now one beat each other....... Just bcz my experience. Since last 6 months, I am using ubuntu like working on that one only and since 2 years i was working on window. But now experience says ubuntu is good for official persons. Just bcz when i work on that...... that time I fell very less chances to make mistakes.....This is just my less experience............says ubuntu is really good.

 

they are made for different works and i think.because as i can see lots of developers make or develops constants for windows so its windows
