Regardless of how the report on Iran's nuclear program was reported in the press I still see Iran as a highly dangerous nation. They have a nuclear program. They have been building missles that can reach Israel, WESTERN EUROPE, and reportedly the East Coast of the US. They have stated they want nuclear weapons and they want to destroy Israel. The NIE report was written with complete language that spoke in probabilities. The aggregate best minds and best efforts of 16 different US intelligence agencies can't guarantee absolute knowledge about the current status of Iranian efforts with regard to its Nuclear intentions. Obviously the US had no idea what was going on in Iraq with regard to development of any form of WMD. I read one article by one retired intelligence officer who spoke to how difficult it is to access information of this sort. Any nation engaging in development of nuclear weapons or any sort of nuclear capability wraps all involved in a huge and overwhelming veil of secrecy that is incredibly difficult to penetrate. The US did that when it developed the first atomic bomb. In any case IMHO the US should go forward still concerned about the dangers associated with Iran.
