exactly...the problem is this: every now and then the US Govt will get it wrong and monitor someone who is not or does not have terrorist ties. The US Govt is not perfect, no one is..however, in the matter of national security, I am still for them looking at whatever they need to. If they look at me, and then determine I am not a terrorist or have terrorist ties (waiting on AGS to comment about me being a Cheney supporter), then big deal...I am glad they are looking out for the country that I am a part of.

 

While Brent does in fact work at the State Dept, I highly doubt this was an official email nor the official position of the US State Department though it certainly should be.

Yeah i think he just searched for his name and faked the mail header to get publicity // end sarcasm

 

I highly doubt it is an offical email but even if it is it wouldn't be a shocker for this type of person to be of interest to the USA...

 

If he was gonna do that, he should have chosen someone more high up than an intern...
