War is not cheap ... It costs money to make the rich richer and it takes lives of many (mainly the poor)

The housing bailout is costing 10x the amount of the Iraq war. The 2008 'stimilus' cost 161 billion and this Feb. a 300 billion housing bailout was passed. The Senate passed a second housing bailout on Sat.

This doesn't include the Bear Stearns and 10 billion dollar Indymac bailout.

More bailouts? Countrywide and FHA may be next.

The Iraq war did not create a housing bubble

I still say if our government had real politicians that represented the will of the american people our financial situation would be so much better than it is today. If only Ron Paul would have been elected:(.

I don't support the housing bailout, I do however prefer money stays here. The talk about 'it costs more than the Iraq war' is really shallow at best as the Iraq war is 'war' fought on mostly over hyped and false if not lie filled intel, and yet again not being spent on our own citizens.

The housing bailout is only prolonging the inevitable at the taxpayers expense. By the way do we the taxpayer get a stake of ownership if these companies turn a profit? Since we are paying for them why not socialize them???

IMO all 'bailouts' should only be temporary if we are going to do them and should have to be paid back with interest.
