I've been following the approval ratings for the U.S. Congress and, the last four times I checked, they were all lower than the approval ratings for the President. Right now, the President is averaging 34.3% and the Congress is averaging 30.8%. What this says to me is that the relentless and mindless assault from the left-wing media on everything American is creating some unforseen consequences. After four decades of being spoon-fed nothing but liberal propaganda by their mass media, a large portion of the American public is simply too uninformed to make rational decisions. They are filled with angst, because their news tells them that everything in the world is wrong and it's all their fault. And yet, when they look wit their own eyes they don't see everything as being wrong and when they examine their own actions they don't see themselves as the goose-stepping murderers which they are portrayed as in the media. This leaves them with no coherent world view. The only natural result of that being the vague feeling of angst with no apparent cause or resolution. Western civilization is falling apart because it has no coherent view of itself. It does not know who it is. Cultural literacy has been destroyed by our governments abject failure to run K-12 education and by our mass medias equally pathetic failure to produce meaningfully accurate journalism. The liberals and leftists were hoping to benefit from this crisis of civilization. However, it seems as if there is an unpleasant surprise for the Democrats in all of this. The American people appear to be unwilling to accept the worldview which they are promulgating. As frustrated as the American people are with the Republicans, they are even more frustrated with the Democrats. In the end, the Democrats gain nothing from their war on everything American.
And this will show up in the next presidential election. Which is why I wasn't particularly bothered about them barely winning the house back in the last elections. Give them a few years to hang themselves and they will do it. And they are doing a fine job of it too.
exactly....I noticed an article yesterday on drudge that nancy's anti-war followers are not to happy with her right now...but then again, they arn't happy with the left at all because our boys are still over there fighting for the freedom of iraqi's and for the freedoms from terrorism..
Guys, the repubs are going to get slaughtered next election, don't read the news all the scandals that are coming out? who you going to run insane mcain?, or Giuliani "I cheat on my wife and think gays are Ok" the red state jesus people won't vote for him, and they are base of the party
Ferret, the political expert, you do realize the Guiliani ranks pretty highly in polls in the south, don't you? "jesus people" as you so kindly put it, are capable of considering the best overall candidate. I think you should be more concerned about the messiah and hillary, who will be ripping each other's throats out for the next 2 years.
We are past the point when voting can change anything, the only 2 remedies left are juror's duty and right to bear arms... Oh, wait a second, do we still have it??
Face it you nutter Hillary is next in and even though ya Unca AGS will dispise the Illuminati controlled slag as much as I do Dubya I am going to have so so much fun with you Republican lunatics.
The current poll numbers, as averaged by RCP, completely support your conclusion: Giuliani - 36.9% McCain - 21.3% Romney - 8.1% Gingrich - 10.6% Giuliani is leading his closest competitor by 15.6%.
To be honest the Republican lineup is looking lame ass mate. "Insane McCain" or "Goolyani" It is making it so easy for the Dems. At least Hillary and Obama have some character, even though they are both stupid. I wish we could fast forward to 8th November 2008 right now because it is going to be so much fun!
I'm still hoping for Fred! to run. I have lots of problems with guiliani, but he's a keeper over any D in the field. Hillary doesn't beat many (top tier) candidates in a head to head poll, so I'm not sure how far she'll get. My problem in 08 is the front loaded primary season. It favors the candidate with early money, who may turn out to be very weak. I think the democrats will fall into this trap, since they are front loading primaries after Dean faltered early and didn't recover.
I think as George W. Bush should right now INVOKE his president power to stay a leader in a time of war. That would shut all you naysayers up real quick. I don't think it would be a smart move at all for us to change LEADERS in the middle of multiple wars at a time. Because if we did get stuck with some leftist and pulled out we would be the biggest "pussie" country in the world.
The one where he can stay in office while a TIME OF WAR. IS happening most people don't even realize that is why they have all these joker canidates up now a woman? riight..OR A BLACK WOMAN....riiiiiiiiiight . Bush is gonna step up before the election hits and say..GUESS WHAT BOYS IM HERE TO STAY.
hehe don't worry about that one mate I won't be. As it has already been decided by now that Hillary is next in power I am going to be battering you crazy Rebublican loons for some time afterwards. Relax baby as AGS is not going anywhere any time soon, remember I'm here for you.
We are not going to have a Queen. We don't do that unlike some other punk countries..Not to mention any names...
