    Hi,

I have been developing my web sites for some time now and I have been hearing some talk about mis-spelled domains being profitable and saught after.

Does anyone here know if it's a good idea to register typoed domain names and see if they get any traffic? From these domains I could send traffic to my other site(s) perhaps.

I looked around and found one website, http://www.mispeller.com that has listings of domain typos. YOu can also search for a domains typos. Does this seem like a good way to find typo domains? The domains seem to have good data but I do not know how accurate the traffic numbers are, or where they get them...

Does anyone else do this? Any tips would be appreciated, thanks! :)

I bought a shed load a while back. (About 100)

Of those 95 were duds ie no real traffic. 5 got some traffic and were worth keeping. No home runs though.

I suspect therefore that it can work great if you get lucky. But that its a numbers game.

Personally, I think approaching it by trying to type in the domain really quick works better then number combinations. U want the typos that people ACTUALLY type in, not the ones some random letter generator comes up with as mathematical possibilities.

I think it pays to have a bit more brain work in the process.
