You guys know when sometimes all you have to do is enter one word in the address bar on a browser (either IE or FF) and the website appears -

    Example: "amazon"
    instead of "www.amazon.com"

Does anyone know why this happens? I thought It was a shortcut enabled by user that saves in the browser - anyone? Rep will be given to good answers :)

My Firefox doesnt do that :(

I think what it does is searches a search engine and takes the top site and loads that one, kinda like i'm feeling lucky on google.
