You can say SEO is divided into organic and paid. On page is the html, title tag, meta tags, KW tags, on page content etc, Off page is the backlinks (forums, articles, blog comments), link building can come under Organic. The Pay per click (PPC) and related stuff which we pay for comes under Paid.

Sorry guys, but when you mention the types of SEO you are not listing actual types, but techniques, meaning lawful (in the eyes of search engines, of course), which is white-hat SEO, and questionable (again, in the eyes of the search engines), which is the black-hat SEO, with all possible shades in-between. IMHO, there basically two TYPES of SEO: On-page and off-page SEO, meaning basically what you do on your own website and what you do outside it to enhance traffic. Then there are niche variants of these two, such as multilingual SEO, which is one of the things I do for my living. But all shades and flavors of SEO come down to on-page and off-page.
