Just wanted to know if someone could give me a list of advertisers and types of advertisements. I've heard of Adsense, YPN, Adbrite, Adversal, CJ, and ClickBank. I know theres more. Also, could someone explain some terminology to me: CPM, CTR, etc. I've seen so many abbreviations that I'm not sure of, and it would be nice to know what everything means. Thanks for anyone's help.
Cpm is cost for so many displasy. Ctr is click through ratio or how many clicks links get ratio . Cpc is cost per click or how much they pay for each click or you pay per each click. Clicksor. Adengage. Thier are so many sites you can buy ads on or pay per click. Some are ok buy adwords is best but you have to find low payng keywords or it costs alot.
here is a definition of each: # CPM: This is 1000 impressions. It is the standard package used to determine price when selling impressions on your website. # CPC: This is cost per click. It is the standard unit for measuring how much a click on a advertisement is worth for your website. # CPA: This is the cost of an action or lead being completed. It is a type of program or offer where you get paid for having an action (such as a consumer buying a product) or a lead (such as a user filling out a form) completed to receive money. okay, programs for each check out the other threads in this forum or the ones in my sig, there are tons...
Many webmasters and affiliates favor the CPL or cost-per-lead model whereby you make a flat fee amount every time a form is filled out on the Merchant's website or landing page.
Okay that helps a bunch. Can someone clarify what CPM is? Is that just getting paid for having the ad viewed, not clicked or anything?
yes, exactly, cpm is payment per ad viewed, usually mesaured in 1000 advertisements.... it relies on heavy traffic to make money.
Looks like there may be a new type of ad hitting the scene in the next couple months... PPP: Pay Per Play. A 5 second audio clip that plays once per page (no click necessary) and credits you with 100% of your traffic.
honestly that doesn't seem so new to me, just seems like CPM with audio instead of a banner..... if i had to classify it i'd call it CPM w Audio
